tom ansell
 Tom resides in Vasse, Western Australia. He is an emerging artist who, for a great portion of his life, has been fascinated with drawing. Most recently, his practice has extended to exploring processes of mark-making by utilising living subjects and more imaginary ones, sometimes fusing the two together.

 Tom began exhibiting his work while in 2009 while still at TAFE; coincidentally, he has won numerous awards for his work and been acclaimed in the emerging artist categories. He continues to exhibit but is looking towards more specialist opportunities, especially ones that recognise the practice and importance of drawing.

 In 2016, Tom graduated from ECU with a Bachelor of Arts: Honours, majoring in Visual Art. Since 2018, he has continued his study through Watts Atelier with the intention of learning traditional painting and drawing methods and techniques. He also holds the position of Art Lecturer at South Regional TAFE, Busselton.
